Director Qixiang Sun

Dean of Peking University’s School of Economics, professor, doctoral advisor, an expert entitled to Government Special Allowances of the State Council, a leading specialist in major projects supported by National Social Science Fund.

Sun received her Doctoral Degree in Economics at Peking University’s School of Economics in 1992.  She is Director of the China Center for Insurance and Social Security Research at Peking University, and vice president of the Insurance Institute of China.  Sun had also been President of the Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association, and a visiting professor at the U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research and Harvard University.  She was the winner of 2014 John Bickley Founder’s Award issued by the International Insurance Society.  Sun has published over 100 articles in Economic Research and other academic journals, conducted over 20 research projects supported by National Social Science Fund and the Ministry of Education, and received more than 20 honors and awards for teaching and scientific research.
