China's Young People Have a Deep Sense of Responsibility

I am very pleased to participate in the Forum created by Dongrun Foundation today. I think that when I studied in National South-West Associated University for more than 70 years ago, teachers and students were very poor at that time. I remember that when I was in Grade Three, I suddenly received a notice from my school that I got the Ouchu Mu Scholarship.

I am afraid that few people have heard the name of Ouchu Mu, who was the famous entrepreneur in the 1920s and 1930s. At that time, the students who won the Ouchu Mu Scholarship in National South-West Associated University were very grateful to him. However, due to the poor transportation at that time, we had never met Ouchu Mu. In fact, we had never seen the photo of Ouchu Mu. I would like to see if any young person is interested in it. It will be very meaningful to research Ouchu Mu and what Ouchu Mu Foundation has done.

We know that there are many young people with the development potential in China. Chinese young people have a deep sense of responsibility by the impact of Chinese cultural tradition. They must contribute to their state and nation, ancestors and parents. This is an excellent point in Chinese culture. I imagine foundations such as Dongrun Foundation will help tens of thousands of young people to contribute and promote the society.

Thank you!
